Position Purpose

The COO Office is one of main departments supporting the business. The main teams are Sales and Trader Assistants, Electronic Client Service, Global Data Client Analytics and Business Management. You will be part of a new team created within the Business Management team in charge of managing internal outsourcing projects (nearshoring/offshoring), from start to finish. It can be related to the set-up of new teams in Portugal or existing teams’ mandate extension. The other members of the team will be based in London and Mumbai.

You will be in charge of the end-to-end project management, from the framing of the initiatives to the risk assessment step, the implementation phase until completion/closure of the projects.

Those Projects require engaging with:

–         The On Shore Stakeholders

–         The Off and Nearshore Organization

–         The Bank’s functions or SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) that need to be involved in the validation Process

Responsibilities

Context & Responsibilities

·       Frame the project upfront, define the most adequate governance to lead the project to success and get signoff;

·       Build/consolidate and maintain the project plan, effectively manage unplanned events, manage dependencies and critical path;

·       Drive the project contributors and stakeholders to completion, in close interaction with the Project Sponsor; ensure effective communication, continuous alignment of all contributors and timely running of governance routines;

·       Take responsibility for some of the actions (when appropriate) and analysis related to the project, without losing focus on the roadmap;

·       Perform project retrospective to leverage on experience and lessons learned for continuous improvement. The key interactions are with the project sponsor, front-office teams, , functions SPOCs / SMEs, of which Risk, Compliance, Legal and Tax.  

What we are looking for

Essentials:

·       Experience in a project manager role (Experienced PM level)

·       Experience in leading nearshoring programmes

·       Strong track record in successful interactions with peers in a non-hierarchical framework. 

·       Strong communication and reporting skills. 

·       Organised and delivery-focused, with attention to detail. 

·       Solid work ethic, high level of motivation and resilience. 

Preferred:

·       Good knowledge of Front Office Organization and products

·       Capacity to interact with senior members of the organisation

·       Good level of Autonomy

·       Experienced in working with people and stakeholder in different location and time zone

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

·       Experience in Project Management, Business Management.

·       Knowledge of BNPP systems would be a plus

·        Strong communication and reporting skills. 

·       Good Project Management Skill

·       Good Analytical Mindset

Specific Qualifications (if required)

·       Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience working in Financial Services or Technology related Industry

·       Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance,  Business, Technical or similar related field
