About Business line/Function :

Credit Prime team engages in financing of corporate bond securities across numerous platforms. Financing can be done through Prime Brokerage, Repo or total return swaps. The team is seeking a trading assistant to help the trading staff in the collateral transformation process.

Position Purpose

Purpose is assist trading staff and coordinate with operations to make sure client shorts are covered and sales ae made. Additional responsibility is to monitor client pricing to make sure charges are aligned with the market.

Responsibilities

This Sales & Trading Assistant job profile would be to assist in various aspects of book management such as:

·         Responsible for borrowing securities from the Fixed Income desk and lending them to PB clients, Managing Shorts position on Synthetic and Cash PB on multiple entities.

·         Responsible for efficient book management functions like Shorts coverage, over borrows management and Re-rating.

·         Responsible for realignment of corporate bonds allocations across various depots.

·         Managing Corporate Action Events for Corporate bonds

·         Maintain inventory in Euroclear ensuring firm does not fail to deliver to market.

·         Work in collaboration with internal teams/desks in PS&F on a day-to-day basis

·         Ability to effectively understand business needs and other solutions accordingly in a fast paced and time sensitive role.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

·         Masters Degree in business, finance or economics preferred.

·         Excellent communication skills, show initiative to engage with teams spread across regions.

·         Attention to detail, ability to raise problems immediately to the broader team when necessary.

·         Experience in programming and analytical tools would be beneficial.
