Position Purpose

The candidate will have the opportunity to work within WMIS as a Software Engineer closely with various teams (Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security and Integration) to develop solutions aligned with our overall strategy.



Direct Responsibilities

As a Java IT Technical Lead, you will be working closely with multiple teams (Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Operations & Development teams) to design and develop solutions aligned to our overall strategy.

As an Java Technical Lead your scope of work includes:

·       Lead all technical solution discussion , solution provider 

·       Ability to redesign and refactor legacy applications

·       Writing well designed, clean, readable and testable code

·       Manage developer team & manage technical deliveries

·       Influence & coach team members to adopt development best practices

·       Design and develop low-latency and highly available applications

·       Support innovation & continuous improvement by investigating technologies

·       Preparing and presenting progress reports

·       Developing and assigning work schedules/tasks

·       Liaising with the engineering team, business teams for project activities and project completion

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years of overall experience in professional software engineering;
  • Good written and oral communication skills


  • Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude
  • Proven experience with
    • Java 8+, Spring and Spring Boot
    • Unit testing
    • Object oriented analysis and design
    • SQL and ORM (JPA, Hibernate)
  • Proven experience with REST API development
    • Resource-based modelling
    • API Security Standards
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines


  • SAML, OAuth
  • Web development using Angular
  • Test Driven Development or BDD
  • MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, ElasticSearch
  • Docker / Kubernetes
