Position Purpose

Environments: To manage (build, support, release, refresh, troubleshoot) Sydney non-production environments as well  to manage deploying new applications to the cloud and migrating existing applications from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud..

Release Management

o    Adhere to deployment procedures define by Change Management Board and Team’s guideline

o    Ensure Deployment package adhere to packaging  standards

o    Reviewed and validate deployment packages rollback procedures

o    Ensure only the requested deployment packages are deployed.

o   Post deployment support – issues are escalated and communicated to stake holders. Review and troubleshoot deployment issues with Developers/ Analysts if required.

Environment Management

o    Provide technical leadership and consultation for projects

o    Accurate and timely reporting on progress status

o    Contribute to the delivery of  projects and change to budget and schedule, and to agreed criteria for success

o    Ensure adherence to group policies and best practice with regards to IT Development, Security, Change and Quality across Development, Test, Production and BCP environments on building the Cloud Infra

o    Ensure proper segregation between non-prod and production environments

o    Ensure the IT operational aspects are part of any solution

o   Ensure software components that are developed, satisfy key architecture principles (eg reliability, robustness, scalability, modularity etc), and are in line with industry best-practices (where possible).

o   Pro-active management of risks, issues and scope change

Cloud Infrastructure Management

o    Working with stakeholders to understand the modifications they wish to apply to their current systems

o    Analysing current systems to find flaws that can jeopardise cloud security

o    Uploading business information to a cloud computing platform and setting up simple retrieval mechanisms for data

o    Staying updated on advancements in the field of cloud computing to advise businesses and clients on industry best practices

o    Increasing cloud storage capacity to store more files and crucial corporate data

o    Ensuring the protection of data in computer systems by working with cybersecurity

o    Troubleshooting issues pertaining to cloud application failure or security flaws

o    Creating and installing cloud computing solutions in accordance with client or employer requirements

o    Automating specific system operations to enhance efficiency and speed

o    Testing designs to find and fix mistakes and make system improvements

o    Evaluating and identifying the best cloud solutions in collaboration with engineering and development teams

o    Developing, establishing and implementing modular cloud-based applications

o    Locating, evaluating and fixing infrastructure risks and deployment problems

o    Periodically evaluating computer systems and offering suggestions for performance enhancements

o    Offering support and guidance to meet customer requirements

o    5+ years of experience in ADMSupport Role.

o    4+ year experience in handling Could Infrastructure services .

o    Knowledge on transferring specific functions and procedures to a cloud-based platform

o    Industry experience on public, private and hybrid cloud platforms

o    Developing, establishing and implementing modular cloud-based applications

o    Troubleshooting issues pertaining to cloud application failure or security flaws

o    Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices

o    Experience in a technology change management capacity, preferably in the Financial services industry

Experience

o            Wide Knowledge in handling Cloud Infrastructure (SaaS ,PaaS, IaaS)

o            Technical support experience in Production or testing environment

o            Experience working with  multiple teams across several IT platforms

o            Experience working with teams across several locations / time-zones  including offshore

o            Excellent problem solving skills
