Position Purpose

As part of Tax team, the position supports BNP Paribas ISPL CFO and BNP Paribas India Head of Tax, in managing tax issues and risks faced by BNP Paribas ISPL, a shared services subsidiary of BNPP group in India.


1.     Oversight of tax compliance services ﴾i.e. handling tax filings including corporate tax, GST, tax payment and administrative obligations etc);

2.     Ensure timely compliance with Tax requirements.

3.     Providing tax advisory services ﴾i.e. due diligence on internal restructuring projects, transaction analysis, transfer pricing impact, analysis of tax legislation changes, etc﴿;

4.     Handling tax audits performed by tax authorities, tax litigations, etc;

5.     Manage stakeholder expectation in respect of tax matters

6.     Must be able to provide expert guidance on tax related topics.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Knowledge of Shared services sector/ Financial services sector

Knowledge of Indian tax law – Direct tax (Corporate tax) and Indirect tax (GST)

Knowledge of International Tax Treaties

Thorough knowledge of compliance

Proficient in managing Tax Audits

Client focus and Stakeholder management.

Collaborative Leadership

Good communication (oral and written), organisation and documentation skills.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

Chartered Accountant with approximately 15+ years of post-qualification tax experience, preferably in a large global accounting firm or / and the financial services sector/Shared services sector
