Position Purpose
Provide a brief description of the overall purpose of the position, why this position exists and how it will contribute in achieving the team’s goal.
Under the direct responsibility of the project manager for DATA SOLUTIONS
The SENIOR BA position will add to the needed capacity of the team to fulfill the demands expressed by Wealth Management Business to provide the solution for the DATA SOLUTIONS Division in the area of Data Warehousing.
Direct Responsibilities BA Role
· Gather the requirements from the business product owners.
· Provide DFS (detailed functional specification) from the business requirements (GFS) that will form the basis of the technical specification and development.
· Ensure alignment between DFS and technical specification written by technical teams.
· Ensure standards/process and processes per the Wealth management governance for projects are followed.
· Provide effort estimation on FUNCTIONAL ASSESSMENT when required.
· Support the SIT/UAT in the capacity of BA.
Ensure commitments/milestones are met with good quality and within budget.
Functional & Behavioral Competencies
· Must have a strong knowledge and experience in providing functional requirements around data warehousing particularly in data sourcing, data interfacing, reporting or for data analytical needs. Minimum of 8 – 10 yrs relevant experience.
· Must have a strong knowledge on Investment products used in Wealth Management context, its product life cycle from inception till maturity, its data composition (i.e. information comprising the product that are commonly stored in the information system) and how it is processed, managed in a typical core banking system..
· Must have a strong knowledge and exposure on management reporting, compliance or for regulatory reporting (e.g MAS, HKMA, Basel, etc.) and have experience providing functional requirements as such..

· Must be able to articulate thoughts well both orally and written.

Contributing Responsibilities
– Responsible for implementing and enforcing the WMIT Governance as the development framework to optimize IT activities & processes. In so doing, to assist the organization in attaining the level of quality as determined by the IT Management.
Specific Qualifications (if required)
· Must have strong knowledge on Data Warehousing.
· Must have strong knowledge and experience on Wealth Management and the investment products typically used.
· Must have strong knowledge or experience or exposure on CORE BANKING SYSTEM in a Wealth Management context to be able to articulate requirements.
· IT knowledge/background. Must be experienced in the use of SQL on ORACLE/LINUX environment.
· Must have working experience in BI reporting tools such as SAP BI4 , Tableau or POWER BI.
